The Control Weeds program is for students who have completed the AQF3. It has been developed for workers in agriculture, horticulture and land management who are required to carry out the control of weed infestations. In this course you will learn how to combine cultural, biological and chemical methods to provide effective and economical weed control while minimising damage to the environment.

Requires students to have attained the AQF3 units:

AHCCHM303A Prepare and Apply Chemicals and AHCCHM304A Transport, handle and Store Chemicals

OR

AHCCHM303 Prepare and Apply Chemicals and AHCCHM304 Transport and Store Chemicals

OR

AHCCHM304 Transport and Store Chemicals and AHCCHM307 Prepare and Apply Chemicals to Control Pest, Weeds and Diseases.

You will also need access to 6 weeds which you can collect

Students MUST read the Student Handbook and agree to the ChemCert E-Learning Policies

Language, Literacy and Numeracy Requirements

We require all students to be a minimum of 16 years old and to have a reading level of a year 10 student. If you are unsure of your ability to complete the course we recommend completing our Learning, Literacy and Numeracy Quiz.
